Board of Trustees
The Leadership Think Tank has a diverse composition of trustees with the mandate to provide oversight and governance to its activities. The Board steers the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies.
Ndukwe Kalu Ukoha
Ndukwe is the founder and CEO of the Leadership Think Thank. He has over thirteen years work experience working in the development sector, specifically in global health and in at least two continents. Over this time, he provided policy advice for international agencies, government and non-governmental organizations, including private foundations, and private corporations. He is passionate about leadership and development in Africa. He is widely published especially on issues related to health. He regularly gives talks and provides mentorship to a wide array of audience.
Florence Onyemachi Nduka
Professor Florence Nduka is a seasoned academic leader with over thirty years in research and academic experience, spanning several universities and departments. She is currently the head of department of Fine Arts and Design in the University of Port-Harcourt. She has served as a member of various boards and has held many appointments. Notable among these appointments and positions include those with the Organization of Women Scientists of the Developing World (OWSD) formerly (TWOWS) and the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, to mention a few. She is widely published, especially in the sciences. She is passionate about training and mentoring potential leaders. Her products occupy different spheres of engagement. Professor Nduka is a community leader and continues to deliver lectures on Leadership and Mentorship especially with the girl child including other gender related issues to a diverse group of audience.
Husaini is a development expert with over 24 years of programming and strong international leadership experience. He is currently the Country Director of Plan International in Nigeria. Previously, he served as the Country Director of ActionAid International and has held different responsibilities in Africa. As the Head of ActionAid International Democracy and Governance Programme, Husaini coordinated and developed democracy and governance programmes in 23 different African countries, supporting state institutions and working closely with International and regional organizations including the African Union (AU), Southern African Development Corporation (SADC), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), European Union, OECD and the UN system among others. He also taught Political Science and Defense Studies at the Africa premier military university, the Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA) Kaduna, and have written extensively in books and learned journals. One of such books is “Clash of Identity: State, Society and Ethno-Religious Conflicts in Northern Nigeria”, DevReach Publishers 2010. He remains a major resource person nationally and internationally on matters concerning security, democracy and governance in Africa. Husaini is a fellow and laureate of different institutions and academic programmes in Nigeria and the United States and has contributed significantly to Nigeria’s development policy environment and state institutional strengthening. He remains a leading voice on the challenges of poverty, inequality and exclusion in Nigeria. Husaini continues to positively influence people in communities, institutions and systems. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Bayero University Kano,Nigeria
